A 3 hour drive through a fascinating landscape of terraces, farms and mountains brings you to the villages of the north Bali coast. Away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas, you can escape to the “real Bali,” the island paradise as it was decades ago, free of traffic and noise, souvenir shops and confusion. Instead, you will find the clear blue Bali Sea with its soft sea breezes and typical Balinese plants, flowers and trees, and mixed farming. Against a backdrop of the mountains, plantations of coffee, cloves, coconuts and all sorts of tropical fruits, support small villages with the friendliest people, always offering you their smiles and their help.
