Beautiful 24 room resort right on a black sand beach. Really would class it as 5* as brilliant staff always on hand with a genuine smile and helpfulness.
The Spa is amazing in its therapeutic benefits and you've GOT TO try the vegetarian/vegan food - never tasted vegan food SO GOOD!
The entire layout of the place is beautiful and relaxing, as are the rooms.
I just love how every day all the statues are decorated with fresh flowers.
I will be back for sure :)
Thank you to all the staff, particularly Ipoh (Mrs) Made and Nyoman Sulastry for making this unforgettable. Unfortunately I cannot remember the names of all the other superb staff.
It is a long drive from Denpasar, but SO worthwhile since the south if Bali sadly has changed and is too hectic.

A piece of paradise that few who visit Bali experience.
This was our third stay in six years at Poinciana, and definitely won’t be the last! We stayed for nine nights.
The Tejakula region of Bali could not be a greater contrast to “down south” the pace is slower, the locals are more interested in where you’re going, what you’re doing and where you’re staying. They are polite, friendly, and helpful to a fault. Poinciana itself is a true gem. It is a small resort with options from small 1 bedroom to large family villas. The staff are incredibly helpful & friendly, and the genuinely remember returning customers. The in-house restaurant is great, and Warung Made just a kilometer west of Poinciana offers fantastic, high quality, exceptional value Balinese fare. There are 2 great pools, an onsite spa and a coral reef on the back doorstep with snorkeling equipment and kayaks available for a modest rental fee. I cannot rate the entire experience at Poinciana, including all staff - reception, kitchen, housekeeping, drivers and security any more highly. If you’re after a true Bali experience & like to be treated like one of the family, do yourself a favour and book your next holiday at Poinciana.

Superb place to have completely relaxed time. Extremely nice garden and pools, very friendly staff, clean rooms, and really nice shore makes your travel great. Not too many things to visit in the very close neighbourhood, but you can rent a scooter at a reasonable price, so it's not a big issue anyway. The only minor issue to improve: the wifi connection could be better. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved my stay! Staff was amazing, food was great, I loved the two pools. My room was quiet and clean. Fabulous airport transportation and day trips. Did a day of diving which was so fun.

Amazing Resort
Beautiful relaxing location. The resort is on a remote beach. You can swim right out of the hotel or snorkel the reef about 30m off shore. The resort it’s self has a faded charm, it’s not brand new and the decor is slightly dated, but it’s very comfortable and very well kept. Dinner is served at sunset right on the sea front which is really nice. The sky is dark at night so so you can see lots of stars. When we were there it was a huge full moon which was magical. We loved our stay and felt incredibly relaxed after 4 nights. It’s the perfect tonic to the hectic south and Ubud areas of Bali.
Only negative were that the restaurant was a little overpriced and the food a bit bland. We got bored of the food after a couple of days and there isn’t much within walking distance. We hired a scooter (85k) from the hotel and drove out to Les waterfall (10mins) and some local restaurants. The roads are much quieter in the south so felt a lot safer on the bike. Only other negative was that the hotel tried to add 3% for paying by credit card at checkout. This wasn’t stated at checkin or through the booking.com confirmation so I refused to pay. They accepted my refusal and waived the charge. Don’t let these small issues put you off, this is a beautiful resort in a beautiful quiet part of Bali and well worth a stay!

Great Holiday!
Once again we are indebted to Made, Dewa 1, Dewa 2, Desak, Iluh and the whole team at Poinciana for a simply divine 7 days of relaxation and mind/body recharging. There can be no higher recommendation for a venue than to make it the centrepoint, for a 4th time in a row, of our journey to Bali.
The spa treatments and meals by the sea are designed to bury themselves into your memory and sit alongside the images stored there from snorkelling 20 yards off the beach and which make an English winter bearable.
Our best wishes to Nyoman and Charles and the next few months will be spent scouring the airlines for next year’s return ticket to paradise.
